After school club

Two reasons for that:
1° To give the opportuinuty for the Higher class to catch up on the hours missed in In-service days / bank holiday

2° To give the opportunity for the Advanced Highers to watch movies to prepare the writing of the folio.

Higher Homework 18th November

good morning!!

A couple of things on the aagenda for you today.
1) Essay on where you live: PN Past Paper 2006/07
Collette était assez contetne d'habiter en ville pendan les annees de ses études universitaires mais la vie è la campgane lui manquait. Est ce que vous habitez en ville ou à la campagne? Quels sont les avantages et les inconvemients à votre avis? Qu'est ce que vous espérez faire dans la vie et ou?

Write between 120 - 150 words on this essay.

2) Etwinning project:
Can all the pupils upload their presentation on the Twinspace. We are missing Hannah's, Sarah,s and Sophie's.
The Belgium team has uploaded a powerpoint about Belgium. Please read it, a few questions will be asked next week.
Can Claire and Kirsty do a similar thing on Scotland? The class will decide which one goes on the blog.

Tuesday afternoon

This is a message for everybody willing to go to the Franco - Scottish Society conference on Tuesday the 9th November.

The meeting will start at 7pm at the Total French School (behind the Aberdeen Grammar School). The conference will be about "Aristocratic Childhood", still waiting for some details about it, followed by an informal conversation in French.

A French movie will be shown at school from 4 to 6pm for any interested pupils. I am willing to take pupils to Aberdeen, to the conference (depending on numbers of pupils and parental consent). Parents would have to come to pick you up at the end (around 8.30 - 9.00pm)

Advanced Higher homework October hols

Bonsoir

Je vous ai prévu 2 essais pour ces vacances. Le premier sera sur l'immigration en France et sur son futur.

1) Comment voyez vous l'évolution de la population en France dans les prochaines décennies? La France peut elle redevenir une terre d'accueil? Ou bien se refermera sur elle même? Qu'en pensez vous?


2) Pour préparer le prochain sujet (les médias et internet), réfléchissez à cette question et écrivez une centaine de mots: Les médias (journaux, internet, TV, magazines...)sont partout dans notre société. Leur accordez-vous beaucoup de place au quotidien? Lequel est votre préféré? et pourquoi?

Higher Homework during the holidays

Bonjour les élèves.

Afin de ne pas vous ennuyer pendant vos vacances, je vous ai prépapré un peu de travail. Travail que vous devez me rendre lundi 25 ocotbre.

1) Tout d'abord, le dernier essai, issue du P/N past paper 04/05 sur la famille. Voici l'énoncé:
Les parents d'Emma n'étaient pas tres heureux quand elle ne voulait plus faire ses activités compétitives, et il y avait des problemes.
Et vous? Est ce que vous vous entendez bien avec vos parents, ou est-ce que qu'il y a des choses qui posent problèmes entre vous comme les sorties, les copains, les études?
A votre avis,est-ce important pour les jeunes d'avoir de bons rapports avce les parents?
Écrivez 120-150 mots pour exprimer vos idées.

2) Pour commencer le nouveau chapitre, (ma ville), pouvez vous me parler de votre ville / région. Aimez vous habiter là? Quels sont les avantages et les inconvénients?

3)Choississez une ville (en Ecosse / en France / ou autre part) et faites un powerpoint comme Antoine, pour décrire votre ville. Powerpoint doit etre en francais et doit durer 10 mins.

European Project: Raising European Awareness

Voici un site Internet très bien fait pour comprendre le role du parlement Européen a Strasbourg. Le site a été fait par des écoles écossaises. Le projet est Euroscola, voici un autre site pour en savoir un peu plus.

Voila, après deux semaines de neige, de brouillard, de chutes et de sauts en tout genre, l'aventure canadienne se termine. La France avec 11 médailles fait aussi bien qu'a Salt Lake City et mieux qu'a Turin :)

Les prochains jeux se tiendront en Russie, dans 4 ans. Y serez-vous?

Jeux Olympiques

Les jeux olympiques d'hiver se tiennent a Montréal au Canada en ce moment. Une nouvelle discipline est a l'honneur: Le ski-cross. Voici quelques extraits d'une course



Il n'y a aucune règle dans le sport, le premier à arriver en bas de la pente gagne la manche.

Lors de ma prochaine visite sur les pistes de Glenshee, je vais transformer quelques pistes en pistes de ski cross :)
